Dr. Cunanan completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1998 at the Centro Escolar University, Mendiola Manila and immediately started her private practice as the owner of Dr. Donnabel Trias Dental Clinic.

She upgraded her skills by completing her Preceptorship Courses in Orthodontics, Surgery and Esthetic Dentistry. A member of International Association of Orthodontics, attended trainings in Hospital Dentistry at the Metropolitan Hospital and a product of PAED 101 Batch 29-B last 2019.

She is an active member of the Philippine Dental Association and a Board Member of Kalookan City Dental Chapter from 2019 up to the present.

Dr. Cunanan is also active in Dental Community Outreach Programs from 1998 up to the present. She served as a Missionary Dentist at the Campus Crusade for Christ, Bronze Ministry and the Chairwoman of the Community Outreach Program of Kalookan City Dental Chapter.

She is a familiar face on TV as the President and Spokesperson of Philippine Cannabis Compassion Society - PCCS and in the forefront of the Medical Cannabis Movement in the Philippines where in she represented the organization in the local and international Medical Cannabis Movement. She was also a Resource Speaker in the Congress and Senate for the drafting of the Medical Cannabis Bills and a contributor to the Department of Health Policy Guidelines for Palliative Care.

Recently Dr. Cunanan was awarded by the Caloocan City Government as one of the Outstanding Professionals in her exemplary humanitarian response during the COVID-19 Pandemic as an epitome of excellence in public service given, last March 15, 2021.
